Flip Slide HD Video Recorder Leaked

New Flip Slide HD To Feature Sliding Screen, 16GB Storage

While Cisco has not revealed any official details about the upcoming Flip Slide HD video recorder, a leak to Engadget confirmed its existence and provided some basic information about it’s functionality.  The new Flip Slide HD video recorder will record 720p HD video and feature a sliding screen much like a slider mobile phone.

The leak apparently came from a Best Buy employee who photographed the new Flip Slide HD box and sent a tip along to Engadget.  The visuals on the box confirm the slider-style design of the unit, providing a larger screen to play back video recorded on the device.  Like the Flip Mino HD, this device will record 720p HD video, and come in a case size not different from the Mino line of Flip video recorder devices.  The Flip Slide HD video recorder will store video on an internal 16GB storage system, which will record up to 4 hours of video.

No official word on pricing or ship dates has been provided by Flip’s maker, Cisco.  Since boxes of the device are already arriving at Best Buy, it’s safe to assume we’ll have those details in a matter of days, not weeks.
