Motorola H17txt Bluetooth Headset Unveiled

Motorola H17txt Bluetooth Headset With MotoSpeak Now Available With Verizon Wireless

Just for a moment, lets put aside the fact that no one can really look cool wearing a Bluetooth headset. So cool or not, Bluetooth headsets can come in handy such as when driving, but they also occasionally come with nice features. Enter the Motorola H17txt Bluetooth headset with MotoSpeak.

The H17txt marks the newest Bluetooth headset coming from Motorola, but it may also have some features that will make it acceptable to wear. Well, acceptable as long as you are not running though the grocery store. Because really, no one is that important and if they are someone else is most likely shopping for them anyway.

As for what the Motorola H17txt offers. Well, to begin with the headset itself is pretty standard. It will give you up to 5 hours of talk time, 7 days of standby time and features Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR and CrystalTalk technology. It will also ship with multiple earhooks so you can achieve as close to perfect fit as your head and ear will allow. Additionally, you can get as much as 2.5 hours of talk time from a 15 minute charge and it can pair with multiple devices at the same time.

But the cool part, well, cool part in regards to a Bluetooth headset, comes in the form of MotoSpeak. Users will be able to download the MotoSpeak app for your phone, and once that is installed you will be able to do things like have your incoming text messages automatically read over the headset. MotoSpeak can also automatically send a message to callers alerting them to the fact that you are driving. At launch the MotoSpeak app will be available for Android and the BlackBerry. Sorry iPhone users.

But more on the fun side, MotoSpeak can also translate over 150 text-speak acronyms including lol, btw and l8r as well as read back your turn-by-turn directions. I guess you could use that last bit to feel like a secret agent. And finally, putting all Bluetooth headset jokes aside, those interested will be able to pick up the Motorola H17txt as of today. It will be available with Verizon Wireless.

Why would AT&T even offer the Motorola H17TXT on their accessory website for the IPhone 4? To show you reasons as to why “not” to buy the phone? Great technology but not available to their customers. Why would Motorola not make it available to download for the IPhone4? Is this some proprietary war? Well Screw you Motorola! I did buy the IPhone 4 and you can bet you sales will continue to slow down because after such a “diss” to the IPhone users, you can bet no one will be purchasing so much as a charging device from you!
