Netbook Navigator Nav 9 Tablet PC Now Available

Netbook Navigator's 8.9-Inch MultiTouch Tablet Now Shipping

Netbook Navigator has released their new 8.9-inch tablet PC, an under-reported mobile device with a solid feature offering.  The Netbook Navigator Nav 9 Tablet PC features an 8.9-inch multi-touch display and a surprising hardware system behind it.

This writer hadn’t hear much about the Netbook Navigator Nav 9 Tablet PC, and while the brand doesn’t hold a lot of wide consumer recognition, the offering in this device may change that.  The unit features the aforementioned 8.9-inch MultiTouch display, a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of solid state storage within (up to 128GB optionally).  For connectivity, Nav 9 offers WiFi, Bluetooth, USB, card slots for SD and SIM and an optional 3G connection.  It runs Windows 7 (ranging between Windows 7 Starter for $50 and up to Windows 7 Ultimate for $250, or no OS at all for no cost), and if you take the OS-free option you can try loading the system of your choice.

The Netbook Navigator Nav 9 Tablet PC is shipping now, starting at $649 with Windows 7 Starter and the base stats mentioned above (with 1GB RAM).  You can customize it up to the full feature offering for a total price of $1524.
