iPad Shipping to Canada on April 24? [Rumors Suggest April 24 as iPad International Ship Date; Canada Included]

Now that almost everyone interested in an iPad knows all there is to know about the U.S. launch we thought you might be interested in international ship dates for the Apple tablet too.

We have already told you that you can, at least in theory, order your iPad right now even if you’re not currently in the USA, but that doesn’t mean so many customers will choose that particular method. Apple is going to have the tablet ship in Canada and eight other countries in April, about a month after the U.S. launch.

New rumors suggest that Canada will get the iPad on April 24 and that might also be the date when customers in eight other countries are going to receive it. According to Canadian Apple store workers April 24 and 25 are “blackout periods.” That means they won’t be able to get a day off during that time, something that has only happened whenever Apple launched something major.

The only thing major coming out right now is the iPad. Sure the MacBook Pro refresh will also be announced but the laptop will basically be the same Apple product we know. The iPad on the other hand is something Apple hopes to generate buzz and attention in all the other non-American markets thus its launch is a really important event.

April 24 is a Saturday but it looks like Canada’s shipping services don’t usually work on Saturdays. In case Apple wants to launch the iPad on that weekend then early buyers could see the iPad arrive to their doors on Friday or next Monday in case Apple can’t make the weekend shipping come through. They could always go to a Canadian Apple store and buy it straight from there instead.

So if Canada is getting the iPad on April 24 will we see other countries receive it too on the same date? Will we see Canadian and international pre-orders start in the following days then?

Most importantly, is Canada, and everyone else, getting the iPad 3G too? Or will we see it arrive only in May to other markets?

We’ll be waiting for Cupertino to disclose more iPad-related details in the near future. After all, now that the Wi-Fi iPads are coming in we’ll be looking forward to see when the iPad 3G will hit U.S. Apple stores.
