Facebook App Store Page Lets You Browse & Buy iPhone & iPad Apps [Apple Opens Up Facebook App Store Pages & Takes Social Networking at the Next Level; Google Buzz Who?]
So guess what Apple has quietly done while we were talking iPad facts and iPhone rumors here? It looks like Cupertino has further embraced social networking all of a sudden and attacked Facebook users with its App Store. That’s right, your favorite apps in Apple’s famous App Store can be browsed and purchased from Facebook’s interface which is really an out of the box initiative.

As much useful as iTunes really is, the fact that you need to install it on every computer you will use to get content for your iPhone, iPod touch and iPad is really annoying. And while we wait for Apple to completely move to the web with its contend-oriented stores, should that ever happen, we can now use Apple’s Facebook fan page now turned into an App Store portal to actually get the apps we need.
Since it’s social networking we’re talking about here you can expect Apple to gather lots of fans and successfully pitch them all sorts of iPhone and iPad apps. In fact some of these fans will surely be turned into future iPhone, iPod touch and iPad customers which is certainly a good marketing move. The community will certainly grow over night as people will be able to share apps with their friends and family, a neat feature which will certainly be appreciated down the road.

What does Facebook get out of this? Well apart from any financial agreement between two giants, which we’re not aware about and we’re not really interested in, Facebook gets to be even cooler than other social networking sites and ventures. Facebook is already famous worldwide but by associating its brand to Apple it will become eventually even more respected. And let’s not forget that it will also generate some advertising revenue of Apple’s fan pages.
While Google is desperately trying to make us like its newly launched Google Buzz service, Apple is raising the bar by joining forces with Facebook, already a well established brand in the social networking business.
So what would you say? Did the App Store just become better a few days before the iPad launch? Or do you still prefer getting apps the old fashion way from your iTunes client without passing through Facebook first?
