iPhone 4G Touchscreen Display Captured on Video
Just last week we told you folks that the iPhone 4G is rumored to have its new display made by Samsung. Apple trusts its rival to manufacture 3 million displays for the iPad so why not hire the same company to build next-gen iPhone LCDs too?

While the details of such an agreement remain a mystery for now, we happen to have found a video that shows us the next-gen display of the next-gen iPhone. The video is available just below and it’s just over four minutes long:
So what do you think? Is the screen we see in the short clip above real or not? From what we can gather, the display has been sent, intentionally or unintentionally to the guys making the video. It was definitely carefully packaged and once unleashed from its protective carapace showed us some things we were definitely expecting.
The rumored iPhone 4G LCD display here is just a little taller compared to the iPhone 3G/3GS current screen. It also suggests that the next-gen iPhone will come with a front-facing camera, a feature iPhone lovers have been waiting to get for three years. But we already heard similar iPhone display-related rumors so far, haven’t we? The display is also supposed to be thinner, but then again we can’t confirm any of it.
Why you ask? Because we know how paranoid Apple is when preserving secrets about its devices. We also know that Cupertino might be leaking stuff to the public intentionally at least once in a while in order to keep us interested. But right now customers are focusing on the iPad and the next-gen MacBook Pro so why would Apple distract our attention with an actual iPhone 4G LCD leak?
The other scenario is, of course, that the whole video clip here has been manufactured in order to bring some attention to the crew behind the camera which specializes into phone repair.
Or, in order to be as fair as possible to all parties involved, we could assume that an Apple supplier has shipped out an actual iPhone 4G screen instead of a regular iPhone 3G/3GS screen. So is it just a simple case of human error?
What’s weird about the whole thing is that the label on the display says “4G”. I know I keep calling the phone iPhone 4G, but I do it since I lack a better name to refer to the next-gen iPhone, not because I actually think that’s the future name of the device. What do you guys think?
