iPad Apps Get Demoed: Twitepad, Carter’s Encyclopedia & iMockups [First iPad Apps Get Revealed; They Aren’t Special, Just First]
Just earlier today we told you that Apple has released the first iPad guided tours and now that you have had the chance to check out the new official videos you might want to look at the first apps for iPad demos available out there.

Don’t expect them to be out of the ordinary because they really aren’t. What I mean is that each of them is special in its own kind of way, but they haven’t been custom made to impress potential iPad buyers. They are smart tools developed by some very smart developers which address some of our very basic needs. And it just so happens that the first apps we’ve found today are Twitepad, Carter’s Encyclopedia of Health and Medicine for iPad and iMockups.
I guess it’s pretty clear what each of them does but since they are the first apps that got a video demo this week they deserve our special attention.
First up is Twitepad, one of the first Twitter applications that will help you edit your status on the go and check on your friends and total strangers that you keep following on Twitter. (By the way did I tell you guys you can follow us on Twitter too? See the About Us page for more detailed information on that.)
With Twitepad you’ll have no problems managing multiple Twitter accounts and browsing through multiple columns of tweets. As you can see the extra screen space will be put to good use by any application out there Twitter-based ones included.
Next up is Carter’s Encyclopedia of Health and Medicine, an application which looks really interesting, at least from what we can see so far. And no, it’s not an eBook although it may very well be. If you like your medicine up close and personal and you’re getting an iPad then this particular Encyclopedia might very well be worth checking out.
iMockups, the last one in this first batch of iPad apps might be just the thing a busy writer/developer needs. Should I ever meet one with an iPad in his hands I’ll definitely tell him to check this one up. iMockups will let you quickly build up a project by creating quick sketches for it. The app is really useful and can replace that pen and paper you currently use although I’ll also tell you that pen and paper are always inspiring.
Curious to see more of those apps? Well the iPad app frenzy is starting in just a few days so go get your feet wet once you receive your iPad. And I do believe that even more apps are going to be featured inside the iTunes store but they will not be as lucky as these first three featured here on TFTS today, will they?
