Apple Gives Details About iPad Availability At Apple & Best Buy Retail Stores [The iPad Will Be Available At All Apple Retail Stores & Most Best Buy Stores At 9AM On April 3, 2010]
It was once a rumor, and now we have official confirmation that the iPad will be available with Best Buy as of the April 3 launch date. And that alone may be good news for anyone that held off on pre-order because as we learned over the weekend, all new pre-orders will be shipping a week later on April 12.

Truth be told though, there really is not much to the Best Buy details. Apple has confirmed that the iPad will be available at “most” Best Buy stores as well as “select” Apple Authorized Resellers and campus bookstores. Of course, the most and select terms were not further broken down into any sort of list. In other words a quick call before you leave on Saturday morning may be in order.
Moving on, Apple also spilled some details about the events that will be taking place at the Apple stores. Customers planning to visit an Apple store on Saturday morning will need to arrive in time for a 9AM opening. I will remind you though, as we have seen with the launches of the iPhones in the past, you may want to arrive well before 9 to ensure you are able to take home an iPad.
Additionally, the stores will be offering a “free Personal Setup service” for each customer. The service will give users the chance to have some basic tasks such as downloading apps and setting up an email account done for them. Finally, and as we have also seen in the past with prior Apple launch events, visitors can expect to find iPad workshops.
Once again, just to recap the pricing, the iPad with Wi-Fi will be $499, $599 or $699 for the 16, 32 and 64GB model respectively. As for the iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G that will be $629, $729 and $829 and that model will not be available until late April.
