iPhone 3G & 3GS Coming to Radio Shack on March 28
I’m sure you’re mostly interested in the next-gen iPhone, or iPhone 4G right now, but if you want to purchase an iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS then you’ll be glad to know Radio Shack is also getting ready to sell Apple’s smartphones in even more locations.

The company is said to start selling the device beginning March 28 when 3,000 of its 4,500 stores in the USA will have the two models in their inventories. Radio Shack has already been offering the iPhone to its customers but only in a few stores and now it looks like the company is ready for the next level.
Interested in pricing details? We have those for you too:
- 8GB iPhone 3G – $95
- 16GB iPhone 3GS – $195
- 32GB iPhone 3GS – $295
As you can see the prices are $5 lower than the official MSRP price but in case you really want to save some money when purchasing your new iPhone 3G/3GS then you should consider trading in your current cell phone and therefore get the iPhone you want for an even cheaper price from Radio Shack.

Of course the prices above will be available with new AT&T 2-year contracts so if you want to buy an unlocked iPhone you’d have to head to Apple or eBay and be ready for spend a lot more cash for it.
By securing this iPhone deal Radio Shack will become the second largest iPhone retailer in the U.S. after Walmart and before Best Buy and AT&T.
Speaking of Best Buy, the word on the street is that Radio Shack might be acquired by Best Buy at some point in the not-so-near future. Details are scarce at the moment but this potential merger between these two top companies might be just what they need in order to do even better, financially speaking of course. Not to mention that with the rapid development of the mobile business (smartphones, tablets, netbooks, laptops), getting 4,500+ shops in various locations in the USA might be just what the doctor ordered for both Radio Shack and Best Buy.
What about you? Will you buy a new iPhone 3G or 3GS from Radio Shack?
