Samsung N150 Gets a Splash of Color to Match its Corby Branding
Samsung may have more than 4G up its sleeve with its N150 netbook whose hardware chassis is the basis for yet another refresh. Last month at MWC, Samsung took the N150 and tacked on 4G connectivity powered by Samsung’s homegrown LTE chipset. This time around the focus is on beauty and not brawn with Samsung decorating its N150 in an array of lively colors including Flamingo Pink, Bermuda Blue, and Caribbean Yellow.

Aiming for a youthful market, the N150′s color refresh will allow potential customers to mix and match the netbook with Samsung’s colorful lineup of Corby handsets. The Samsung Corby is a full touchscreen handset that, with its emphasis on social networking and its brightly colored exteriors, targets young mobile users. This latest iteration of the Samsung N150 will reportedly share the Corby branding, along with its colorful appearance.
Decorated in canary yellow and bright pink, the N150 Corby was recently spotted and photographed at a product demonstration in Italy with an array of Corby handsets by its side. In addition to its colorful coverings, the N150 Corby will have a white interior, a white keyboard, and white sides that include an unobtrusive pinstripe to match the lid.
Thankfully, Samsung resisted the urge to dumb down the machine for its younger audience and kept the specs of this netbook at a respectable level by including an Intel Atom N450 processor running at 1.66GHz, 1 GB DDR2 Memory, 10.1 inch WSVGA (1024 x 600) display with anti-glare, 250 GB SATA hard drive, Intel GMA 3150 graphics, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Ethernet LAN (10/100), Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, 3-in-1 memory card reader, webcam, 6-cell battery and Windows 7 Starter Edition.
Though the N150 in the US will retain these colorful options, the Corby branding is thought to be reserved for European markets with Italy reportedly receiving the N150 Corby in Flamingo Pink and Caribbean Yellow starting March 25th. Similar to its black, red, and blue brothers, the colorful N150 Corby is expected to keep its characteristically low retail price of $349.
