Adobe Creative Suite 5 Coming to Macs on April 12
Photoshop lovers will be more than thrilled to hear that Adobe is getting ready to launch its Creative Suite 5 for Mac on April 12. A special event is already scheduled for the day and as soon as the new software bundle becomes available you’ll be able to pre-order your copy and start planning the next iPhone 4G concept you are about to design and then leak to everyone else.

Creative Suite 5 will offer Photoshop for Mac as a 64-bit application which is definitely something you shouldn’t pass on.
Adobe is certainly interested in recovering some of those losses incurred in the first quarter of the year and CS5 will surely be a top seller. During the earnings report held yesterday, Adobe’s CEO, Shantanu Narayen confirmed for the crowds that CS5 is officially coming out early next month.
We have no hints regarding new features and pricing details so far but the April 12 event should shed some more light on that precious info you require before committing to upgrading to CS5.
What’s interesting about CS5 is that Adobe will offer you a new Flash version, codenamed Viper, which should make possible the actual use of Flash-based apps on the iPhone and probably the iPad too. We don’t have all the details yet so there’s no point getting excited about such wizardry now. What’s safe to say is that Adobe will try its best to comply with Apple’s dismissal of Flash while also going around Cupertino’s rules and regulations by offering a way to port Flash-made apps to the App Store.

So maybe you will not be able to actually use any of the tools available in the new CS5 suite for Macs on April 13 but Adobe will be sending the next version of your favorite software in just a little while. In case you don’t believe me then simply check out Adobe’s countdown timer on their home page! Anyone interested?
