Samsung Modus HM3500 Bluetooth Headset Announced [Samsung Modus HM3500 Premium Featured Bluetooth Headset Now Available For $59.99]
Today Samsung has announced the latest addition in their Bluetooth headset lineup, the model is the Modus HM3500 and it is being touted as both “premium-featured” and “affordable.” Judging from the specs and features I would say those are pretty accurate, but that is not to say people will want to, or be happy wearing one. And yes, I have a love/hate relationship with Bluetooth headsets.

But putting my personal feelings aside, lets dive into what makes this headset shine. In terms of features, the Modus HM3500 has Bluetooth 2.1+EDR support and features dual mics for noise reduction, a microUSB interface, a battery level check, AVC (auto volume control) and promises up to 6 hours of talk time with up to 200 hours on standby.
The HM3500 is also designed to be used as a mono headset for voice calls as well as a stereo headset for listening to music. To make this possible, the Modus HM3500 ships with a removable ear hook, a set of stereo earbuds that can be connected when needed and a few rubber ear buds so you can get a better fit.
Additionally, the Modus HM3500 will support pairing with two Bluetooth devices and audio streaming. In regards to the multiple handset pairing, the HM3500 is capable of muting one device in order to allow you to answer an incoming call on the other. This means you can be listening to music using one connected device and when a call comes have your tunes automatically muted for the more important item — the phone call.
Finally, the Samsung Modus HM3500 is going to be selling for $59.99 and will be available as of today. Of course, in the end, with Bluetooth headsets its not always about the price or the features. Sometimes the look has more to do with whether or not people will want to wear it. In the case of the Samsung Modus HM3500, while I hate to make snap judgements based on images alone, in this case I can say that I have seen better, but I have also seen worse.
