HTC Supersonic 4G WiMAX Android Smartphone Coming from Sprint at CTIA 2010? [HTC Supersonic WiMAX Handset Groundbreaking New Device Rumored to be Unveiled Officially at CTIA]
So, ladies and gentlemen, I hope you are sitting down for this one and have your grain of salt with you since I am about to talk unconfirmed rumors with you. And they all concern one of the hottest Android phones coming to town. I am not talking about the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 or about the HTC Desire we’ve seen yesterday from T-Mobile UK, but about the HTC Supersonic which is going to be the first Android smartphone ever to offer 4G support and run on Sprint’s fresh WiMAX network.

We’ve talked about the HTC Supersonic already but we’re still waiting for that official confirmation. The CTIA 2010 is getting ready to be unleashed in Las Vegas this week and that special event might just be the place where Sprint executives have decided to present the HTC Supersonic to the crowds.
And what better event to do so is there other than the CTIA? CES came and went and so did the MWC although Sprint announcing the Supersonic in Spain wouldn’t have meant a great deal to the European public.

So where does this rumor come from you ask? Well it looks like Sprint Premier customers are being told a whole lot more than regular ones: “Visit us tomorrow for an exciting announcement about a groundbreaking new device.”
If we’re not talking about the HTC Supersonic here, then what are they referring to? What could make the ground break for Sprint other than the HTC Supersonic right now? The leaked web chat above seems ready to confirm everything but we’ve seen a lot in our tech-reporting lives to know stuff can be easily manufactured in order to generate some buzz.
This Android smartphone is said to bring us a 4.3-inch touchscreen display, WiMAX support, Android 2.1 and Sense UI on top. In case Sprint does decide to launch the device, and we certainly do hope so, we’ll be back with all the specs and features, pricing details and launch dates. Until then we can only hope CTIA 2010 is ready to amaze us with other “groundbreaking devices” no matter if the HTC Supersonic shows up or not.
