New PayPal iPhone App v2.0 Released [iPhone PayPal App Now Allows 'Bump Transfers', Offers Split Check & Collect Money Functionalities]

If you’re looking to transfer funds using PayPal whilst out and about you may be interested in the new iteration of the PayPal iPhone App V2.0 which, apart from offering a swanky new interface, comes with a new Bump feature that allows you to transfer information required to send payments to others (such as email addresses) simply by bumping two devices together.

The new, redesigned version of the PayPal iPhone App, which is already available via iTunes, aside from sporting its new Bump feature, and, aside from allowing you to withdraw funds and request monies using your PayPal account (as well as set up payment reminders), also comes with a tool know as Split the Check which will prove handy when trying to divide the bill when, say, at a restaurant as its automatically calculate what exactly each of you owes towards the bill. Of course, there’s already applications available that’ll already do this, but its nice to see this feature included in the PayPal App.

There’s also a Collect Money feature that’ll allow you to request and collect money from multiple people – handy if, say, a group of you are pooling resources for a gift for a friend of family member.

The PayPal iPhone App is available now from iTunes, as mentioned above, and it won’t cost you a dime.
