Winait CB130BT Digital Camera Is Less Than An Inch Thick
If that big and bulky Digital SLR around your neck is a real pain, we suggest you try the Winait CD130BT digital camera. It’s a surprisingly thin and cheap digital camera. As you can imagine, it the photo quality isn’t anything to write home about (the photo sensor is actually less than 1-megapixel) but it can record video and it’s thin, very thin.

It packs a 0.3-megapixel (or 300k pixel) photo sensor, as it only shoots images in one size, and that’s 640 x 480. As for storage, that’s a bit of a problem as well. It only has 64MB of flash storage, with no SD card slots or anything else. Likewise, it can hold 52 images on its memory at the resolution.
It also can take video, but only at 10 fps and probably not for very long (in fact, the website calls this “auto shoot” not video recording). We’ve seen these kind of cheap ‘funcams’ before – they’re great for people with kids, but the Winait is actually slightly more impressive because it’s so thin – just 13.5mm, which shows some sort of talent in the design of the camera. It won’t be long before we see good cameras with more megapixels with this sort of ultra-slim form factor.
The device is packing a f2.8 lens, an optical view finder, and can even be used as a webcam for a PC. Battery life doesn’t seem like it could be very good, since the device will automatically switch off after 30 seconds of being left on. For image processing, it offers automatic exposure and automatic white balance.
The price is right for this little camera at only $24 and is now shipping. This manufacturer, Winait, is a Chinese Shenzhen company, so check your favorite Chinese importer if you want one.
