New MacBook Pro, MacBook Air & Mac Pro Prices Leaked by Apple?
The moment MacBook Pro fans have been expecting might be even closer than we think. We already know that Apple’s famous laptop line is going to get the new 2010 Intel Core i5/i7 chips this spring, but today we got word that Apple might have leaked pricing details not only for the MacBook Pros but also for MacBook Airs and Mac Pros.

From what we can see in the picture above it all looks pretty genuine although we did see various fake leaked pictures before so we know better than to absolutely believe everything we see.
The screeshot here has been leaked all the way from the Australian Apple Online Store. As you can see the MacBook Pro, the MacBook Air and the Mac Pro are priced conveniently at A$1,899, A$2,399 and A$4,499. Conveniently for Apple maybe… What are their regular prices you ask? A$1,599, A$1,999 and A$3,599, respectively which suggest that all these machines will cost from A$300 to A$400 more than the previous versions.
If everything is true here, then we can expect all the upcoming versions of these three machines to sport those hot Intel Core 2010 chips. Unfortunately for Apple buyers this will make the laptops and desktops a lot more expensive than we’d like.
I have mixed feelings when looking at the image above. On one hand I’d like it all to be true and have Apple unveil the updated laptops and desktops as soon as possible. On the other hand such a price increase is not exactly what the doctor ordered particularly considering that the competition will not charge as much for Windows 7-running, Intel Core i5/i7-packing laptops and desktops.
Naturally Apple has not confirmed any of this and the Apple store has not been taken down for updates. But then again, today it’s not a Tuesday so we’ll have to wait at least one more week before we see the next-gen MacBook Pro, Air and Mac Pro hit the online store.
What do you say Apple fans? How do these new prices sound?
