First details concerning Acer’s first ever Calpella based ultraportable have emerged, with news that the Calpella, Intel Core i5 CPU touting Acer TimelineX 1830T ultraportable is scheduled to be announced by Acer in the last week of March. However, ahead of Acer officially announcing the TimelineX 1830T a leak has already served to confirm exactly what Acers first Calpella based ultraportable is set to bring to the table.

Obviously the specifications detailed below are yet to be officially confirmed by Acer, as alluded to above, but there’s no reason at this juncture to assume that these leaked specifications won’t ring true.

The Acer TimelineX 1830T, aside from boasting a 1.06GHz Intel Core i5-520UM CPU under the hood (which, incidentally, can be ramped up to 1.86GHz courtesy of Acer’s Turbo Boost feature), is reportedly set to come with a 11.6” 1366 x 768 resolution display, whilst its 1” thick chassis allows for a full size keyboard. The TimelineX 1830T will additionally pack  Intel HM55 graphics, integrated WiFi (802.11b/g/n), Bluetooth 2.1+EDR whilst, in terms of wired connectivity, you’re looking at three USB 2.0 ports as well as HDMI and S/PDIF. There’s also a built-in memory card reader whilst it’s additionally believed that the Acer TimelineX 1830T will also be offered with option 3G connectivity.
