Google Nexus One with AT&T & Rogers Support on Sale
Yesterday we heard that Google is already shipping Nexus One units to Verizon and in case you expect us to confirm everything today then you should look elsewhere. What we can tell you right now is that apparently Google has GSM plans in mind as a Google Nexus One ready to party on AT&T and Rogers has quietly appeared.

Google hasn’t even announced the whole thing but the Google Nexus One is now available for purchase and ready to head to American and Canadian customers of AT&T and Rogers, respectively. The Google Nexus One costs $529 if you buy it contract free from Google and we can only assume that both AT&T and Rogers will be getting ready for some sort of special prices for Google Nexus One smartphones. At least this time around we assume that AT&T will not mess with Android OS like it did with the Motorola Backflip.
In the mean time we’re still looking forward to see Verizon announce the CDMA Google Nexus One and while we’re at it we will wonder why Sprint isn’t interesting in selling the device yet.
Unfortunately for Google, and the smartphone business, the Google Nexus One hasn’t been the hit phone we expected it to be. Even if it is said to truly represent the vision Google has on Android and how it should be employed by manufacturers and carriers around the world, the Nexus One failed to make an impression with consumers.
The Nexus One sold very poorly compared to its main competitors, the iPhone 3GS or the Motorola Droid and we don’t expect anything to change in the near future. As you already know hot Android phones like the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, the HTC Legend and the HTC Desire are about to hit stores in various markets. What Google should probably do is to get ready for the second version of the Nexus series, the Nexus Two which is already rumored to be made by Motorola and hope for the best.
What about you? Are you ready to get your AT&T/Rogers/T-Mobile/Verizon Google Nexus One yet?
