Quirky Cloak iPad Case Protects & Displays iPad

iPad Folder Style Case Supports Portrait & Landscape Orientations

You may not have an iPad yet but, in advance of the iPad’s release, already you have a range of iPad accessories vying for your attention and now Quirky have entered the fray with their interestingly named Cloak iPad Case.

The Quirky cloak iPad case serves not only as a protective case, made of non-slip rubber, for your iPad (once you have it) but – and this is what distinguishes this particular iPad case – thanks to the integration of hinges it will also serve as a display stand for Apple’s tablet, allowing you to set up the iPad to display in both landscape and portrait orientations.

According to Quirky:

The Cloak is constructed from non-slip rubber, with durable plastic on the hinge mechanisms. The iPad slides into the case through a top opening and is held in place by a sturdy friction grip. It can be positioned to sit on a flat surface in both portrait and landscape positions. Here’s how:

Portrait: fold the Cloak’s front cover behind the iPad. Use the plastic support brace located on the product’s inside cover to prop up the iPad screen vertically.

Landscape: open Cloak’s front cover and use it to prop up the iPad’s screen from behind. Depending on your viewing preference, the cover can click into different angles by pressing a button on the hinge.

In terms of pricing, the Quirky Cloak iPad Case, which is offered in a range of colors, is presently listed as available on a ‘pre-sale’ basis for a not unreasonable $36.
