Cisco Prepping New Flip ‘YouTube’ Camcorders?

New Flip Video Cameras Seemingly Set for NAB 2010 Unveiling, Integrated WiFi on the Cards?

I recently considered the Flip camcorder in light of needing a YouTube friendly camcorder for my reviews and, it has to be said, after getting my hands on a Flip and playing around with it for a while I eventually opted for the (much superior, in my view) Kodak Zi8. Perhaps I should have waited, however, as word has it that Cisco, who brought out Pure Digital, are prepping a new version of their Flip YouTube video camera – though at this juncture there’s nothing in evidence in terms of what to expect from the latest iteration of the Flip.

According to Business Insider (duly credited below) Cisco have sent them the specifications of the new version of the Flip but the aforementioned site have, so far, held back on offering any details concerning what the new Flip will bring to the table – but they have at least confirmed that a new Flip is set to launch, probably around the time of the NAB event (which runs next month).

So, if you’re considering a YouTube friendly video camera and you have your eyes on the Flip (or the Zi8) perhaps you may want to hold back just a while until the new iteration of the Flip is announced.

Which leads us to asking what exactly would you like to see the new Flip offer in terms of extra features? For example, what about integrated WiFi connectivity allowing for remote uploading to YouTube?

well image stabilization on the flip would be really nice. it would be really nice if the colors were more vibrant on the new flip as well.
