Razer Announces Mac Support for All Products

Razer Takes Gaming on Apple Computers Seriously; to Include Mac Support in Future Gaming Products]

Earlier this week we have been able to confirm officially that Steam is definitely heading to Mac users. The announcement seems to have been made just in time for the Game Developers Conference at San Francisco. And the first results of Valve’s move are coming in! Razer, a very well known company in the gaming universe for the peripherals it delivers to gaming enthusiasts, has announced that it will also support Mac users.

Razer plans to offer driver support for all its upcoming products, including the Razer StarCraft II peripheral suite which should me more than good news to gamers ears.

Robert “Razerguy” Krakoff, president of Razer USA said about Mac gaming and Razer:

I’m very proud to say that at Razer, we are committed to supporting both Mac and PC gamers. We are constantly working to increase driver support for Mac with our existing Razer products and have plans to release all of our new products with dedicated Mac and PC drivers. This is a really exciting opportunity to expand the gaming industry and make it more inclusive for Mac users by providing the same level of support that we give to our PC users.

The press release also goes to talk about the Razer DeathAdder for Mac which was launched in April 2008. But since it’s 2010 already customers might want to play with the Razer Naga, Razer Orochi, Razer Mamba or Razer Imperator instead. These gaming peripherals already have some “basic Mac support” but gamers will need the real deal in order to take advantage of all the features available from all the products above.

Now that Razer is on board ready to “reaffirm commitment to support Mac users” we can only assume that other gaming peripherals manufacturers are going to come up and confirm their own intentions when it comes to gaming on Macs. What about you? Interested in Razer gaming mice for your Apple computer?
