iPad to Outsell Kindle in Just Three Months? [Analysts Say Apple Will Make 5 Million iPads in First Half of 2010]

Remember that whole iPad manufacturing issues saga we have witnessed last week? Well it looks like analysts are again talking about the upcoming iPad and this time around they are predicting a very good iPad performance in the first half of 2010.

More importantly the iPad is now expected to outsell the Kindle in just as little as three months. Analyst Craig Berger from FBR Capital said that the Cupertino-based company is expected to ship no less than 5 million iPads in the first half of the 2010. He went to say that the all the reports coming in last week telling everyone how the iPad production process has reached a standstill due to hardware/software problems was basically all smoke and mirrors. Well he didn’t say that exactly but he labeled the rumored iPad delays as just “false alarms.”

If all this is going to be proved right then we might just see Amazon’s Kindle get beaten at its own game in just a few months. Although unconfirmed, Amazon has sold over 3 million Kindles since the famous eReader has been introduced to Amazon customers. Amazon has always bragged with impressive Kindle sales and we always wondered exactly how many eBook readers has the company sold to date.

The iPad is expected to storm by that 3 million milestone in the upcoming months and we will be right here to report on its performance. But this prediction is rather bold compared to other analysts’ quotes that said Apple will only ship a few hundred thousand units in March and about one million iPads in April.

It’s not only Amazon that has to worry about iPad sales, no matter how many units Apple will ship! Barnes & Noble, Samsung, Sony and all the other eBook reader manufacturers out there will have their creations compared to the iPad and we all know what people seem to want so far, don’t we?

iPad is in another segment of the market: netbooks and tablets.
