Case-Mate Hug iPhone Charging Solution Now Available for $100
In case you like Palm’s ability to be wirelessly charged and would love, say, your iPhone, to be able to do that too then you shall look no further for a solution. We have found Case-mate’s Hug charging pad solution for the iPhone and luckily for us, it’s now official and ready to be taken home.

Case-mate has announced Hug, “the first charging pad developed in concert with the Wireless Consortium” that also can double as a protective case for your iPhhone.
Shashi Reddy, founder and CEO of Case-mate had this to say about Hug:
The mobile phone is undoubtedly one of the most essential electronic devices to consumers today. And with the availability of the Hug, we’re giving iPhone users a new way to easily re-charge – helping them get just a little more convenience and reliability out of the device that they so strongly rely upon each day.
In order to charge you iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS wirelessly, all you have to do is insert the handset in the Hug case and place it on the Hug pad. And thus the iPhone gets charged without the need of any extra wires around your desk.
The Hug is said to be the first device in the world designed in accordance to the specifications of the Wireless Power Consortium. It’s a pretty smart device that will know when to stop feeding power to the iPhone and it’s definitely an accessory worth considering. The Hug charges thanks to the magnetic field it creates and it will charge the iPhone about as fast as regular chargers.
Case-mate will sell the Hug for $99.99 and for that price you get the charging pad, the iPhone case and the screen protection kit. Similar solutions for BlackBerry smartphones and other mobile devices will also be made in the following months so get ready for even more wireless charging from Case-mate.
