Panasonic Lumix DMC-G10 Micro Four Thirds Also Released Today [Panasonic Lumix DMC-G10 Is “World’s Lightest” Digital Interchangeable Lens System Camera with a Viewfinder]

Just earlier today we’ve seen a new Panasonic Micro Four Thirds Camera, the DMC-G2 and now we have one more model for you, the DMC-G10. While the G2 is apparently the “world’s first” interchangeable lens system camera with touch-control movable LCD, the G10 is the “world’s lightest” interchangeable lens system camera with a viewfinder.

Since we have no pricing details for either the G2 or the G10, you have plenty of time to decide which camera is the best for you. The G10 doesn’t come with a touchscreen LCD but it does have a viewfinder which might come in handy. The changeable lens feature which we’ve showed you just before is also present but you must get additional Micro Four Thirds System lenses in order to take advantage of it.

So let’s move to official specs and features of the Lumix DMC-G10:

  • 12.1-megapixel LIV MOS sensor
  • Venus Engine HD II technology
  • Compact body and portable design
  • LUMIX G VARIO 14-42mm/F3.5-5.6 ASPH/MEGA O.I.S. lens
  • 1,280 x 720 HD video recording in Motion JPEG, QVGA, VGA and WVGA formats
  • iA (Intelligent Auto) mode: Optical Image Stabilizer, high-powered zoom, Face Detection, Intelligent Exposure, Intelligent Scene Selector
  • My Color mode: Expressive, Retro, Pure, Elegant, Monochrome, Dynamic Art, Silhouette; 26 scene modes support,
  • AF Tracking
  • Live Viewfinder
  • 3-inch LCD display
  • Dust Reduction System

As you can see there are plenty of similarities between the DMC-G2 and the DMC-G10 but the later one seems to be designed for beginners as it happens to be the world’s lightest Micro Four Thirds camera with interchangeable lens and a viewfinder. An important factor for helping you decide what model to choose could be the price difference for these two cameras but as I told you above there are no such details at this point.

So now that you know that Panasonic has not one, but two new Lumix Micro Four Thirds cameras out there, tell us which one you’re going to choose and why?
