Best Buy to Sell Intel Core i7 MacBook Pro [Best Buy Places Core i7 Logo on MacBook Pro Pages; Release Dates Still Pending]

It’s not like we don’t know that the MacBook Pros with 2010 Intel Core chips on board are coming soon. We’ve seen the signs over and over and we’re just waiting for the stars to literally align before Apple makes the update official.

Until that happens we have a new rumor to help spread and, just like in previous MacBook Pro-related rumors, Best Buy gets mentioned again. It looks like the retailer has decided to place Core i7 logos all over the MacBook Pro page. The only model showing it so far was a 2.53GHz 15-inch MacBook Pro so it must all be just a human mistake since every other model has the regular Core 2 Duo sticker placed on it.

We wouldn’t want to assume that only certain MacBook Pro models will be updated to Intel Core i7/i5 processors, do we? We expect Cupertino to include the new CPUs in all its machines since that’s something the competition is also prepared to do. In fact most of Apple’s competitors in the computer business have been selling lots of laptop models with 2010 Intel Core processors on board so we really have to wonder how much time will Apple still need to actually announce these machines?

I know you’re probably wondering what else is new on that page. Well you’ll be disappointed to find out that except for the Intel Core i7 nothing has been changed. As a matter of fact the featured processor, just below the sticker, still shows an Intel Core 2 Duo processor which only goes to prove the sticker has been placed there by mistake.

Or we can also assume this is Best Buy way of teasing its customers. After all, nobody removed the sticker yet even though it doesn’t really match with the rest of the content of the web page in question. Any Best Buy insiders want to clear up the air for us?
