VIA ART-3000 Fanless Computer Revealed
VIA is no stranger to embedded box PCs, and their newest creation, the ART-3000 is pretty par for the course as far as their offerings go. It’s a fanless, rugged, small, embedded, box PC where it’s basically an entire computer inside of a heatsink. It will also have video support for three monitors, too.

VIA has gone with their own Nano processor, which has a clock speed of 1.3GHz. They produce their own motherboards, processors and motherboard standards. They see their processors as a competitor to Atom and ARM processors, so it’s a no brainer that they would include one of their own.
Same with the motherboard, they’re using their own VIA EITX-3000 board on this one. As mentioned, VIA produces their own motherboard form factors (like Pico-ITX, etc.) and this is one of them. Graphics are being provided by a VIA VX8000 media processor, which can provide 1080p video.
The ART-3000 has VGA-outputs and support for three monitors. The computer has VESA-interface mounts on it, so you could mount it to the back of a HDTV and use it as a media center PC or something. For connectivity, it has a bunch of COM ports and dual Ethernet Cat6 ports.
The box itself is pretty rugged. It can operate in any temperature from -20C to 60C (-4F to 140F). It can withstand a drop of 5Gs if you use a HDD or whopping 20Gs if you use a flash storage solution.
Although the box PC is now out, pricing is negotiated on a partner-by-partner sales basis.
