Maybe it’s just me but I don’t really find those Project Pink handsets coming from Microsoft this spring that interesting. I am more impressed with Windows Phone 7 which is definitely better than its predecessor and surely better than what’s-his-name OS the Turtle and the Pure will run on.

But then again I am not a teenager anymore, hence I am not interested in a Sidekick-like phone that can get me tweeting and texting as fast as possible so I do understand where Redmond is going with these plans. Yesterday we showed you leaked Verizon ads revealing the Turtle and a very blurred pic of the Pure. Today we have more pictures and details confirming that both phones are heading to Verizon in the U.S. and Vodafone internationally.

So if people keep talking and leaking stuff about these two devices, how come we still have to deal with blurred images? In all fairness the photos we have today are less blurry than the ones we’ve seen yesterday so we can only hope that at this rate we’ll get better pictures by next week. Microsoft however, has not announced the devices and from what we know from the FCC the Project Pink phones will only be revealed later this month.

Verizon is going to be the exclusive carrier of the Turtle and the Pure in the USA while its European acquaintance, Vodafone, will probably take these two Sharp-made babies to more international markets.
The Pure and the Turtle are expected to be available around April 20 although we can’t say whether that date is official or not yet. No pricing details have been leaked so far but we might be in for a lot more Project Pink-related information in the following days for you.
So will you buy your teenage kid a Pure or a Turtle? I wonder if they have GPS support in which case they’d be useful for parents too. Not that I’m thinking what you’re thinking right now!
