ASUS Shows Off New All-In-One Desktops
ASUS has a big showing at the CeBIT trade show this year in Germany (or so I’m told). In addition to the ton of products that they’ve unveiled, ASUS has added four new All-In-One desktop computers. One will be more of a nettop with the low-powered Atom processor, while the other will be more like a full-powered desktop with a AMD Athlon II X2 250 processor.

The entire new lineup of ASUS all-in-ones is being dubbed the ET2010. The first one is the more powerful one called the ET2010AGT and it will feature the aforementioned AMD Athlon II X2 250 processor. It will have a clockspeed of 1.6GHz with 2MB of cache. For graphics, it has a decent DirectX-11 card in the ATI Radeon HD 5470.
The ET2010AGT will have a 20-inch multi-touch capable LCD screen and can be ordered with up to 8GB of DDR3 memory. The ET2010AG will be a very similar variant of the -AGT model, except it will be sans the multi-touch monitor. This will likely be to cut the price.
The ET2010PNT will have an Intel Atom D510 processor. The D510 is the most powerful chip in the “Pine Trail” generation of Atoms, so it packs considerable processing horsepower (as far as Atoms go). It will have the same 20-inch widescreen display as the -AGT and -AG models. It’s graphics will be supplied by NVIDIA’s ION graphics solution.
The -PNT model will come with a default of 2GB of RAM, which can be upgraded to 4GB. It’ll will come with a generous 500GB and WiFi connectivity. Like its big brother, it comes with a non-multi-touch variant, called simply the ET2010PN.
No word on pricing or a release date yet. I’d go with the AMD Athlon model simply because of its improved graphics rendering, but except the Atom model to be too cheap to resist.
