ZOTAC ZBOX HD-ID11 Nettop Home Theater Mini PC Unveiled
ZOTAC have been quick to announce their new second generation ION based nettop, the ZOTAC ZBOX HD-ID11, which they bill as being offering an ‘eco friendly computing experience with premium graphics processing, complete high definition playback capabilities’.

Coming with an Intel 1.66GHz dual core Atom D510 CPU paired with 512MB of DDR3 graphics memory and touting Nvidia CUDA and Nvidia PureVideo HD technologies – the latter of which offers GPU accelerated decoding of popular formats such as AVC, VC-1 and Blu-rays as well as dual-stream hardware acceleration for Blu-ray picture-in-picture features – the ZOTAC ZBOX HD-ID11 nettop additionally sports HDMI 1.3a connectivity (as well as HDMI (1080p) and Dual-link DVI outputs), allowing you to hook up the HD-ID11 to HDTVs with ease and, once you also factor in 7.1-channel digital surround sound there’s no doubt that if you’re looking for a compact form factor PC that’ll happily serve as an entertainment hub in your front room you’re looking at a more than viable option here.
“The ZOTAC ZBOX HD-ID11 mini-PC is perfect for home theater PC use as well daily usage. Watching high-definition movies with premium audio tracks is a rewarding experience with the ZOTAC ZBOX HD-ID11 mini-PC,” says Carsten Berger, marketing director, ZOTAC International. “The amount of clarity high-resolution 7.1-channel digital surround sound audio brings to the experience is phenomenal and can’t be put into words.”

Running Windows 7, the ZOTAC ZBOX HD-ID11 naturally comes with integrated WiFi 802.11n and gigabit ethernet, whilst, in terms of additional key features, there’s a DDR2 RAM slot, space for a 2.5” hard drive, six USB ports, an eSATA 3.0GB/s port and an inbuilt 6-in-1 memory card reader offering compatibility with SD, SDHC, MMC, MS, MS Pro and xD memory cards.
At this juncture ZOTAC have not offered any indication as to the ZBOX HD-ID11’s intended release date or unit pricing.
