AVADirect Clevo X8100 Notebook Revealed

AVADirect Calls Its Clevo X8100 "Most Powerful Notebook For Gamers"

AVADirect has released a new performance-grade notebook along with plenty of hyperbole, calling its latest creation “the most powerful notebook for gamers”.  The AVADirect Clevo X8100 gaming laptop brings no shortage of gaming-class components, enough so that the manufacturers claim may not be too far off.

The new AVADirect Clevo X8100 gaming laptop squeezes some serious components into its case.  On the top end, it is powered by an Intel Core i7-920XM processor, dual NVIDIA GTX 285M 2GB graphics processors, 8GB of memory and up to three hard drives with optional RAID 0 or 1 configurations.  Those dual NVIDIA GTX cards power its full-HD 18.4-inch display, sporting a 1920 x 1080 resolution.  For connectivity, the maxed out Clevo X8100 includes HDMI, VGA, DVI, USB 2.0, FireWire, eSATA, gigabit ethernet, analog and digital audio i/o, WiFi, BlueTooth and a TV tuner input.  Last, all models of the Clevo X8100 will include a 2MP webcam and five integrated speakers throughout its body.

Claims of “most powerful gaming notebook” don’t last long, and tend to be more about PR than performance.  It’d take some serious scouring to validate AVADirect’s claim for the Clevo X8100 gaming laptop, so short of that we’ll stand on what we do know.  The Clevo X8100 appears to be a serious option for gaming performance, right up there with the best of other, more popular manufacturers.  It can be your starting at $2,496.81 for the base model, and the sky is the limit once you start playing with the configurator.
