SteelSeries 7H Gaming Headset Official at CeBIT [High-end 7H Headset from SteelSeries for Passionate Gamers]

Other than the awesome 6Gv2 gaming keyboard, at the 2010 CeBIT 2010 tradeshow in Germany the folks from SteelSeries took the opportunity to announce a new product — their high-end SteelSeries 7H gaming headset. Capable to break down into four pieces for easy carrying around, the comfy new 7H headsets comes with interchangeable leather or foam ear cushions (that fully cover the ear), and features a retractable microphone arm to talk to your game buddies.

Meant for the “competitive gamer” as they like to call those who appreciate a hectic late-night gaming session, the new SteelSeries 7H headset features a 50mm driver on each side, that promises to deliver crystal clear sound. On top of that it brags to add superior passive noise reduction, meaning that no way your mom will be able to disturb you when playing your favorite FPS.

“We’re introducing the SteelSeries 7H as our high-end headset for gamers who want choices in the type of comfort and sound they need to experience,” said Bruce Hawver, SteelSeries CEO. “The 7H features were developed based on direct feedback from our sponsored Counter-Strike and QuakeLive players, who need to hear their teammates while practicing at home and need to eliminate external noise while competing at loud tournament venues.”

Just like the 6Gv2 gaming keyboard, the new SteelSeries 7H headset is now available for pre-order with Amazon. It should be priced around $120.
