Nokia C5 Smartphone Officially Announced
Nokia have officially announced their latest candybar smartphone, the Nokia C5, which is optimized for social networking and sharing and keeping ‘people connected with the ones who matter the most’.

The quadband GSM/EDGE, dualband (900/2100 Mhz) HSPA Nokia C5 smartphone, which measures in at 12.3 x 46 x 112mm and which offers direct access to the likes of Facebook and MySpace, runs the Symbian S60 (3rd Edition) OS, sports a 2.2” 320 x 240 (QVGA) resolution display, a 3.2 megapixel camera, a stero FM radio tuner with RDS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, integrated GPS (A-GPS) and Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP connectivity (the C5 does not offer WiFi capabilities, however – which for phone which is labelled as being a ‘smartphone’ is decidedly lame).

Set to be bundled complete with a 2GB memory card, the Nokia C5 smartphone, which additionally comes with the latest version of Ovi Maps, is set to become available in ‘selected markets’ in Q2 and is expected to retail at around a mere €135 (circa $182) before and applicable taxes and subsidies.
