Nokia has unveiled its upcoming mobile platform, Symbian^3 at MWC 2010 and following the Mobile Congress in Barcelona we’ve seen Symbian^4 get revealed. We were not impressed with any of them so far and we’ll be in for a long wait before we see these new mobile operating systems in action.

I’m reminding you of all these facts since it looks like Nokia is about to launch some new phones at CeBIT 2010. The show is going to start tomorrow in Hannover, Germany and, although CeBIT is not exactly CES, from 2 to 6 March we’re going to see even more interesting gadgets emerge.

The new C-Series range will be unveiled officially at some point during the show although The Official Nokia Blog isn’t saying too much just yet. It’s clear however that “C BIT” is going to bring us new Nokia C-Series phones. “C you there” is a quote that confirms again that Nokia officials are definitely going to make some kind of announcement in Germany this week but the newsletter doesn’t reveal any other details.

The C-Series line is not going to feature Nokia’s upcoming flagship phone. We don’t even know what handset will actually be the next Nokia flagship phone but something tells me it’s not going to be a C-Series device.

The C-Series is rather going to be offering us entry-level devices. We’ve heard about some of them already: the C5, a candybar device with numeric keypad on board and the C6, a handset that’s going to come with a front-facing QWERTY keyboard. But hopefully Nokia will have other models too ready to be presented at CeBIT and, more importantly, ready to replace the plethora of entry-level phones that Nokia has manufactured over the years.

We’ll be back this week with all the hot details for you including pricing and worldwide availability dates as long as Nokia goes through with this announcement.
