eviGroup Paddle Multitouch Slate Unveiled [10" Paddle Tablet Packs Atom N270 CPU, HDD or SSD Storage]

Having just posted about the HP EliteBook 2740 tablet along comes another tablet, this time in the form of a slate rather than a convertible, in the form of the 10″ eviGroup Paddle tablet.

The eviGroup Paddle sports a 10.1” mulittouch capable touchscreen whilst, under the hood, the Paddle packs a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor and a range of onboard storage options ranging from a 160GB, 250GB or 320GB hard disk or an SSD offering either 16GB or 32GB capacities.

Running windows 7 or Windows XP Home Edition, the eviGroup Paddle tablet naturally boasts integrated WiFi whilst also offering up 3G wireless connectivity whilst, in terms of other key components, you can factor in inbuilt webcam and microphone and a custom UI known as Scale which serves to split the devices multimedia and applications into distinct categories that can be tabbed according to taste and accessed intuitively via the Scale 3D UI and, interestingly, eniGroup have already confirmed that they will be releasing an SDK later in the year allowing developers to design and make applications.

We await full specifications concerning the eviGroup Paddle tablet with great interest and will, of course, act to bring you further information the moment we have it but, in the meantime, we can confirm that the eviGroup Paddle tablet is expected to hit retail sometime in Q2 of this year at which point the lower end (base) model should come in at around the $952 price point.
