These two new babies have been quietly unveiled in Dell’s online catalog and the 1749 Touch Model is already available to order. We imagine the Dell Studio 1558 is also coming soon so hang on to your shorts if a 17-inch laptop is too big for you.

That’s right, the Dell Studio 1749 Touch is a 17-inch laptop that comes with multitouch support. Pricing starts at $1,083 and goes up all the way to $1,663 but thanks to Dell’s instant total savings you could save anywhere from $234 to $319 when you order yours.

So what will you find inside such a beast? You get to choose from different 2010 Intel Core i3 and i7 processors, up to 4GB of DDR3 RAM, up to 500GB SATA HDD, Intel HD graphics card or a 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 card, Wi-Fi g and/or n, a 56 Whr or 85 Whr Lithium Ion Battery, Windows 7 Home Premium, and, naturally, a 17.3-inch HD+ LED Display with TrueLife, camera and multitouch support.

You can expect the 1558 Touch to offer similar specs with pricing starting just at $999 before instant rebates and discounts.

We’ll be looking forward to hear from you guys all about how these brand new touch-friendly laptops from Dell behave when seriously put to the test. And we’re definitely expecting to see what other laptops and desktops out there are going to get multitouch this year. We don’t mean just Dell laptops since the competition also has what it takes to develop similar computers.
