Onkyo DE411 Nettop All-In-One Revealed [New AIO Nettop Features Ion Grahpics, HD Display, Atom Processor]
Onkyo may not be well known outside of their home country, but in Japan they produce a wide number of consumer electronic gadgets. They’re coming out with a new All-In-One desktop computer dubbed the DE411 that is being considered a nettop by the pundits because of its inclusion of a low-power Atom processor and NVIDIA’s Ion graphics.

It’ll have an Atom 330 processor that clocks at 1.6GHz. It will use the ION graphics chipset as well as a GeForce 9400M graphics card. It’s not every day that we see a nettop with a dedicated graphics card. This is likely a bit more than your typical nettop, but the Atom processor will limit what applications it can handle any way.
To round out the stats, it will have 2GB of RAM and a 320GB hard drive, and will be running Windows 7 Home Premium. The display is 21.5-inches and can run at a 1920 x 1080 resolution, or as Onkyo is promoting it, “Full HD”. For connectivity, it will have Ethernet and WiFi but Onkyo saved a few bucks by picking an adapter that only had 802.11 b and g compatibility, no n-wireless.
It will also have a DVD drive that can also write DVDs. They’ve included a digital TV tuner, but that will only likely work in Japan. It’s selling in Japan only for ¥89,900 ($1,011). No word on a North American or European release, but I wouldn’t hold your breath on it. If you are one of the first 100 to order, you get a free iPod…. docking cradle with your new computer.
