Google Nexus One Coming to Verizon & Vodafone Soon [CDMA Google Nexus One Clears FCC; Vodafone UK Announces Google Nexus One Plans Too]

That’s right, Google Nexus One lovers, you heard me! Google’s first smartphone is coming in CDMA flavor soon and Verizon may very well be the designated carrier for that. And its European brother, Vodafone, is on the verge of getting the Nexus One too, so get your cash ready!

It looks like the Nexus One has passed through the FCC and the CDMA version is heading straight to Big Red. Verizon already has a few interesting Android phones in its inventory, the Motorola Droid, the Motorola Devour and the HTC Droid Eris. Furthermore the HTC Incredible seems to also be headed to Verizon so you’ll have plenty of Android smartphones to choose from.

The Google Nexus One, aka the PB99300 has been approved by the FCC and we expect it to be unveiled soon although Verizon did not officially announce it just yet. The PB99300 simply has to be the Nexus One since the code is very similar to the first Nexus One dubbed as PB99100 and the AT&T Nexus One referred to as the PB99110 in FCC official documents. So what about Sprint? Isn’t the carrier also interested in offering the Nexus One since everyone else is pretty much ready to sell it?

Over the pond, Vodafone UK is also having Google Nexus One-related thoughts. The phone is expected to arrive in April and we don’t have pricing details for you just yet although it’s “likely to be priced very similarly to comparable smartphones such as the iPhone.”

It will be interesting to see how the Google Nexus One will fight against its HTC Android-running rivals. Verizon will probably sell both the HTC Incredible and the Nexus One while Europeans will be able to choose from the HTC Desire, a Nexus One look alike and the Nexus One this spring. What say you? Are you ready to make some tough Android-related choices?
