Palm WebOS 1.4 Actually Hitting Today? [Sprint Confirms WebOS 1.4 On Their Website Then Pulls Article Out, Palm Pre Still Expected to Get Flash Support Soon]
Are you a Palm user that can’t wait to download the new WebOS 1.4 for your smartphone, it looks like you may have to wait a bit longer to before your mobile will be running the latest software. Although expected to hit today (delayed from February 15th) we’re hearing that Sprint have officially confirmed on their website that the over-the-air update will come to Palm Pixi and Palm Pre, only to pull out the article hours later.

Although yet to be available, the new WebOS 1.4 comes with a lengthy list of changes, but the most interesting features would be the inclusion of Flash 10 capability for the Pre. But as good as it may sound, be advised that for full Flash support you’ll be required to download an Adobe plug-in which will be available from the Palm App catalog, only after the release.
Here’s a full list of what’s going to change with WebOS 1.4:

- Time Zone bug fixed
- Network time sync bug fixed to reflect accurate Network time
- Bluetooth car-kit transition to device corrected
- No EV icon bug fixed (random)
- Random browser formatting bugs fixed
- Fixed bug that incorrectly displayed Sprint when actually was Digital Roaming
- Missing Contact issue specifically with swap down to 1.2.9.1 or less

- Adds Video Capture capability & edit Calendar Enhancements

- NOTE: The 1.4 software adds the ability to use the Flash 10.0 Adobe plug-in which will be available shortly from the Palm App Catalogue
