LG Windows Phone 7 Smartphone Coming in September? [LG Windows Phone 7 Rumored to Arrive This Fall; Is it the Apollo?]
For some reason we’re surrounded today by Windows Mobile and Windows Phone 7 related news. We’ve heard earlier that Windows Mobile 6.5 handsets could be upgradeable to Windows Phone 7 and we’ve also seen Skype pull its support for Skype and Skype Lite for current Windows Mobile smartphones.

This time around we’re told that LG is preparing a Windows Phone 7 of its own which will be ready to ship by September. If I remember correctly, back in January we wrote about the LG Apollo and the HTC Obsession, two smartphones that were said to be the first devices capable of running Windows Mobile 7.
Putting two and two together we can easily assume that we were right back then and the LG Apollo is in fact the upcoming Windows Phone 7 that’s going to be launched in September.
LG has not confirmed anything at this point and all this is just mere speculation for now. It looks like they did let the September date slip but the Apollo wasn’t apparently mentioned anywhere.
Microsoft told us that Windows Phone 7 devices will be available by the end of the year which means we’ll probably see them in stores right around Christmas. But that doesn’t mean that manufacturers can’t have the phones ready to go anywhere between September and November.
A fall release sounds even better considering that the iPhone 4G is coming out in June or July. A Windows Phone 7 smartphone getting launched as soon as possible would be a great way of preventing Apple to get all our attention this summer.
So let’s hear it from you, folks! It’s still too early to make a decision but would you rather get a Windows Phone 7 smartphone or will you go for Apple’s next-gen iPhone instead? Android smartphones are also waiting patiently in stores so there’s no need to hurry yet.
