If, like me, you happen to be surrounded with remotes and your looking for a little remote consolidation and (yes, another and) you happen to own an iPhone then you’ll doubtless find the A Power iPhone Universal Remote Case pretty intriguing.

Promising to ‘replace all your existing remotes’ (IR controlled ones anyhow) the Power A iPhone Universal Remote Case simply encompasses your iPhone (in the same way as a jacket case) thus allowing you to control multiple devices from the iPhones touchscreen – the added benefit being that the case, that houses the IR transmitter, also serves to protect your trusty iPhone from those all to frequent knocks and scrapes.

Of course, this isn’t the first iPhone device to offer this functionality (the other devices taking the form of dongles), but it is keenly priced – coming in at just shy of $60 – though, unfortunately, if you’re looking for the case to additionally offer iPhone recharging functionality you’ll be disappointed, it doesn’t.

There is a bonus, however, that being that the required iPhone App needed to get the Power A iPhone Universal Remote Case working won’t cost you a dime.
