Philips SoundSphere Home Stereo System Revealed
Philips has released a new Hi-Fi micro system which will make use of its new SoundSphere technology. The Philips SoundSphere MCi900 and MCD900 home stereo systems employ a new speaker technology and an emphasis on future-friendly design.

The Philips SoundSphere MCi900 home stereo system is a progressive audio device in both design and technology. It features a CD/DVD player, a USB connection for portable media players, a 100W RMS heartbeat and a pair of Philips SoundSphere speakers. The SoundSphere speakers use a raised tweeter which is positionally paired with the woofer for cleaner, more true audio playback. The MCi900 includes the Streamium music service with storage on a 160GB HDD, as well as internet radio and pc/mac wireless streaming.
The design of the new Philips SoundSphere audio systems is sleek and curvy, available in a darker titanium color or silver, as shown above. While the design and feature offering of the new Philips system is decidedly attractive, a price or information about a U.S. berth is not available. This device was revealed to the Spanish market, so there’s no promise we’ll see them stateside soon or at all. Our fingers are crossed!
