Motorola Droid on Amazon Wireless for Only $49 [Amazon Debuts Crazy Deal for the Motorola Droid]
If you’re in the market for the new Motorola Droid but Verizon’s $199.99 price sounds a bit steep, head over to Amazon Wireless where a crazy deal is giving you the Droid for just $49.99 if you get your name on a two year contract. And you want to know the another amazing part of it? Apparently the deal not only includes free shipping, it’s also available for both new and existing Big Red customers.

Is there a catch you may ask? Well, kind of, as we’re learning that there’s a small clause that in the eventuality of selling your Droid smartphone, you have to do it via Amazon’s online store. On top of that if “you do not activate or extend a line of service in connection with this device, or if your service is canceled/disconnected before 181 consecutive days, AmazonWireless.com will charge you $250 per device, plus applicable taxes.”
For those who can’t remember it, Motorola Droid has a 3.7-inch touchscreen, a full QWERTY Keyboard, Android 2.0 to run the show and 5-megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom, video recording and dual LED flash. On top of that there’s also 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity along with a microSD memory card slot and a 3.5mm headset jack.
So yeah if you’re the honest shopper looking to grab a powerful Android device from Verizon, the price is great.
