LG X200 & X140 Netbooks Announced Ahead of CeBIT
LG is trying to get some media attention by announcing new models ahead of the CeBIT tradeshow in Hanover (Germany) which kicks in next week. If yesterday we found out that the 11.6-inch LG T280 ultraportable has been officially announced for the ultralight XNOTE lineup, today we’re hearing that they’re also preparing the new LG X200 and the X140 netbook models for the Korean market, both coming with a more rounded design and ‘chiclet’ keys.

Running on a Intel Atom N450 processor that clocks in at 2.66GHz, the new LG X200 has 1GB of RAM (come on LG, at least 2GB to run smooth), Intel’s on-chip GMA 3150 graphic and a 250GB hard drive. The 2.7lbs system comes with a 10.1-inch LCD display (1024 x 600 pixles) and brings Wi-Fi (802.11n) connectivity, for the equivalent of $642. As for the new LG X140 it packs a 160GB hard drive, a six cell battery, adds a Bluetooth and a SIM card slot for 3G connectivity on the go.

Both systems run Windows 7 Starter and should be available in Korea, reaching the US shores soon after.
