Fido BlackBerry Curve 8520 Becomes Official

Curve 8520 Now Available on Fido Canada

After a number of rumors it looks like today Fido have finally decided to step down announcing that the new BlackBerry Curve 8520 is now officially available for their customers. From what it looks like, the Canadian mobile carrier is going to charge you only $50 for the Curve 8520 if you’re planning to get your signature on a rather long three-year contract with them, or $400 if you’re looking for a pre-paid deal.

What’s funny though, the same BlackBerry Curve 8520 is available to Canadian customers through WirelessWave, who’re only charging $29.99 instead of Fido’s $50 price.

For those who can’t remember it, the BlackBerry Curve 8520 comes with a a 2.64-inch TFT display (320 x 240 pixels) and a 2 megapixel camera with video capabilities. On top of that there’s Wi-Fi 802.11b/g and Bluetooth v2.0 + EDR connectivity, a full QWERTY keyboard, a trackpad, a microSD card slot for up to 16GB more storage space and a 3.5mm jack.
