Toshiba Portege M780 Tablet PC Becomes Official [Portege M780 to Debut With Core i7 CPUs & 4GB RAM, Costs Dearly]
Toshiba have officially unveiled on their website, the new Portege M780 tablet PC. Seen as an update to the M750, the Portege M780 has everything you want from a powerful laptop but in a tablet-designed machine that was built with business in mind.

Specs wise, the new Toshiba Portege M780 comes with a 12.1-inch WXGA LED backlit display (1280×800 resolution), runs on a Intel Core i7-620M processor that clocks in at 2.66GHz, has 4GB of DDR3 RAM, 320GB of storage space courtesy of a 7200rpm hard drive and an integrated Intel HD graphics card.
On top of that, there’s a Ultra SlimBay DVD-SuperMulti drive (+/-R double layer), Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity, a webcam and built-in microphone, along with standard stereo speakers and a six-cell battery that promises up to 4.86 hours between charges.
The powerful Toshiba Portege M780 with Core i7 CPUs starts selling at $1,799 with Windows 7 Professional (32/64-bit) and Windows XP Tablet PC Edition Recovery Media under the hood. It weighs in at 4.63 lbs and comes with a titanium silver chassis.
