Moblic E7 MID Appears at MWC 2010; Surprises Many [Mobilc E7 to Feature WiMAX Connectivity, Mobile Gaming Support & Unknown OS]
MWC 2010 has come and gone leaving us wanting for more mobile gadgets to look at. And every once in a while some of these gadgets get overlooked or passed by in a hurry although they deserve a lot more attention. One of them is this Moblic E7 MID. We won’t call it a phone yet although it could sport at least VoIP capabilities. The E7 is a Mobile Internet Device which could come in handy particularly considering its gaming abilities.

The official specs of the E7 are pretty interesting:
- 4-inch TFT touchscreen LCD
- 8GB Flash memory
- 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi
- WiMAX
- MicroSD support
- 600MHz processor
- 256MB RAM
- 2,000mAh Lithium Polymer Battery
- 2D/3G and Flash gaming support
- File download and web surfing support
- Music, Movie, Image and Searching support
- Internet Broadcasting support
- Instant Messaging and SMS support
- Slide-Out full QWERTY keyboard
- Gaming dedicated controls
However, we don’t know what OS the device will use. That’s a really important detail considering that we already have plenty of smartphones out there that will act perfectly as MIDs and portable gaming devices.
In fact, the iPhone, although it lacks dedicated gaming controls, is definitely a hot gaming machine. Android handsets and upcoming Windows Phone 7 smartphones will also come with gaming support. And let’s not forget about the PSP and the PSP Go from Sony or the Nintendo DSi and DSi XL which are certainly going to meet some of our gaming needs too.
No matter how much we’d like the Moblic E7, without some unique features backed up by some clever marketing the device won’t make it out there. The competition will simply crush it and we’ll move on to the next thing.
The Moblic E7 has been spotted at MWC 2010 but we have no pricing details or arrival dates for you at this point. So what say you, Moblic officials, are you ready to unveil all the mysteries surrounding your E7 MID?
