HP CW450t & PW460t Digital Cameras Announced [HP to Debut Affordable Point-And-Shoot Cameras at PMA 2010]
Right after learning that HP is joining the camcorder business with their new V5061u, V5560u and the V1020h, we caught wind that HP has added to their point-and-shoot camera lineup with quite a few new models, that include the new HP CW450t and the PW460t, CW450 and the SW450, along with the PW550z. Announced today during PMA 2010, the cameras feature a 4x optical zoom and can work with SD/SDHC memory cards.

From what we’re being told the HP CW450t will be available in blue and merlot with a 2.7-inch LCD display for $109, while the PW460t should go in pink and charcoal gray, along with a 3-inch LCD display for $149. Other models include the CW450 and the SW450, both with a 2.7-inch display, selling for $99 and $129 respectively.
Last but not least, the new HP PW550z is a point-and-shoot digital cam that delivers a 5X optical zoom and a wide-angle lens. Just like its sisters above, the PW550z has a 2.7-inch LCD display. It comes in black or plum and has a lithium-ion battery, all these for $149.
Although not groundbreaking, we really think that staying on the cheap side of thing and the fact that they’re meant for the on-the-move traveler will make these new point-and-shoot models in HP’s new range, quite attractive.
