HP Debuting V5061u, V5560u & V1020h Camcorders
Today, HP have decided to expand their business by entering the HD camcorder market with three new models dubbed HP V5061u, V5560u and the V1020h. Seen as entry-level 1080p camcorders, both the HP V5061u and HP V5560u feature a 3-inch touchscreen displays, come with motion-tracking focus, a 5X optical zoom lens, and although there’s no dedicated storage space, they count on an SDHC card slot to store everything.

The main difference between the two is that the HP V5560u shoots widescreen 1080p (16:9, 1920×1080) video (unlike the V5061u, that does at a 4:3 ratio), has dual SDHC cards support and can run on AA batteries when you’re not able to recharge its Li-ion battery. Price wise the V5560u and the V5061u will sell forĀ $199 and $169 respectively, with availability expected sometime this Spring.
As for the HP V1020h it’s a stylish pocket camcorder that shoots 720p video. It comes with a built-in USB connector that allows you to upload videos in a jiffy, has a HDMI port to preview media at native resolution and 128MB of built-in memory working hand in hand with SDHC cards. The HP V1020h should be available for $109 this summer.
