Panasonic BDT300 3D Blu-ray Player Announced [Panasonic to Debut Their First Full HD 3D Blu-ray Player, the DMP-BDT300]
We said it before and we’ll say it again, 2010 is going to be the year of the tablet, the e-book reader and 3D. Speaking of 3D, although Sony is ruling the niche with great success, folks from Panasonic are trying to prove that they still exist and today, at their annual convention in Munich, Germany, the company announced an interesting breakthrough, their first full HD 3D Blu-ray disc player.

Dubbed Panasonic DMP-BDT300, the 3D Blu-ray disc player has been first introduced at CES this January. The device promises “an unparalleled 3D experience with realistic and immersive sensation”, mostly because it features the company’s UniPhier LSI chip that allows output of Full HD images (1080p quality) in the frame-sequential method — all you need is an active shutter pair of glasses and a 3D-ready TV to view the 3D content.
On top of that, the BDR300 is also supposedly capable of streaming online content using the company’s Viera Cast Internet functionality.
The new DMP-BDT300 can upscale your normal DVDs and has an amazing half a second boot-up time. It ships with two HDMI ports, a built-in SD card slot and USB ports (for JPEG, DivX Plus HD and MP3, and AVCHD, MPEG2 and JPEG files).
Panasonic DMP-BDR300 sure looks like a winner if priced correctly, so we’ll have to wait and see.
