Puma Phone Appears Out of Nowhere

Solar-Powered, Sagem-Manufactured Puma Phone Unveiled by Puma

Puma is not your average cell phone maker and that’s why we’re all surprised to see the Puma Phone appear out of nowhere. Puma, a company used to make sportswear, is apparently ready to check out the mobile business too. Its Puma Phone is a solar-powered device conceived by Sagem. Will it be a hit phone among sports lovers?

On first look the Puma Phone appears to be a pretty interesting device. It has a large touchscreen and on the back you’ll find the solar panel require to charge the device whenever you’re not able to plug it in somewhere for that much needed boost of energy.

The Puma Phone features a 2.8-inch QVGA TFT capacitive panel, a 240 x 320 resolution, 3.2-megapixel camera with LED flash and 6x digital zoom, a front-facing VGA camera for video conferencing, compass, A-GPS and GPS, a small 880mAh battery and a Puma OS.

Like I said before, it looks like Puma and Sagem have outdone themselves! The Puma Phone isn’t the smartphone you’re expecting but it’s rather a featurephone worth exploring. The device can be the perfect phone to wear while you’re exercising but it might not be suited for becoming your primary handset.

First of all it lacks a proper battery and although it’s a solar powered device, the sun isn’t always available at your disposal. Secondly the Puma Phone is powered by an unknown Puma OS. We require more apps in our busy lives, that’s why we want smartphones and featurephones in the first place. Will Puma or Sagem be able to meet our expectations?

There’s plenty of time to find out more details about the Puma Phone as we don’t have any arrival dates and pricing information just yet. But as you can clearly see there’s a T-Mobile logo on the screen of the handset which means we already have a carrier for the handset. What do you say?
